Two officers got ambushed by thugs in Boksburg last night, unfortunately they both lost their lives

The South African Police Service (SAPS) members and emergency services personnel were called for assistance after two police officers got shot, upon their arrival at the scene the officers where confirmed deceased.

According to the Flyingnewslive news report, yesterday, Thursday, 13 October 2022 in the afternoon two South African Police Service (SAPS) responded to a complaint in Boksburg, East Rand (Gauteng Province) and when they arrived at the scene they were immediately ambushed by criminals.

Emergency services personnel where called for assistance and upon their arrival the two officers where confirmed deceased, the motive behind the murder has not been established at this stage. A case of murder is currently under investigation

No arrests have been made, whoever has information which could assist in the investigation and lead to the arrest of suspects involved in the crime should contact the saps phone number or report at the nearest police station.

Child Kidnapper Found Pushing Dustbin With 3 Children’s Bodies

A man who has been linked to the kidnapping of Bokgabo Poo, who was last seen in Wattville earlier this week, has been taken into custody by the Gauteng police.

When the young girl was taken from the park, she was four years old and had been there playing with a boy who was five years old and also from the same area.

Reports indicate that the guy was taken into custody this morning in Boksburg North when a local citizen spotted him in the area and immediately notified the authorities, who responded speedily to the request for help.

CCTV footage that was released online quickly went viral, and in it, the suspect in question could be seen walking alongside Bokgabo.

According to Colonel Mavela Masondo of the Police Department, the authorities are currently interrogating the man regarding the location of the four-year-old child.

During the search for Bokgabo on Tuesday, the mutilated body of a second child was found in Wattville. This child’s body was also found in Wattville.

It is not yet known for certain whether the body that was discovered belonged to the young girl who was four years old. However, the parents of Bokgabo who have been reported missing have had their DNA tested, and they are currently awaiting the findings so that they can decide whether or not the mangled body and body parts found were those of their daughter.

Those who receive a government grant and what they can expect

The good news to those who are receiving the SRD grant from Government, the Sassa department will top up the COVID19 and child support grant.

The Minister of Social Development Lindiwe Zulu said that The social relief of distress grant (SRD) of R350 will be increased to R624, and the child support grant (CSG) will receive a top up from R480 to R720 a child a month.

Government said they will increased the threshold from R350 to R624 that is in line with the estimated food poverty line for 2022.

It’s good to hear the government is doing this for those who receive government assistance but we know that this comes with a lot of costs as food is so expensive in South Africa.

It’s good that the government has done it, but the number of people in South Africa need work because this money has not been used to meet all the needs of the people.

The referee who officated the game between Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu on Friday night was surely out of sorts, his decisions were not really good since he seemed to be failing to put the game under his control, in some cases he was making wrong decisions and when he had to make a call, he just waved play on, where he had to wave play on, he made a call, it was as if he was confused.

Usuthu should have been awarded the penalty when Augustine Kwem was brought down by Miguel Timm who pushed him from the back when he was inside the box, the referee somehow did not see that as a foul, he waved play on where even a blind man could have seen that what Timm did was a foul and that should have been a penalty, but it was not awarded.

A few minutes later Lehlohonolo Majoro collided with Richard Ofori when the two were going for the same ball, for some strange reasons, the referee awarded AmaZulu a penalty, how so? Nobody knows, perhaps he was making up for the one he should have awarded when Kwem was brought down and if he was, thst was unfair to Pirates since it looked like Usuthu got a cheap penalty after they were denied a correct one.

Until the Video Assistant Referee system is introduced in the DStv Premiership, referees will always make some costy mistakes and teams will lose when they were actually not suppose to lose.

Man found guilty of killing his girlfriend who tried to escape by jumping out of a window

There were sighs of relief after convicted killer Lunga Nqayi was sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his girlfriend, Eastern Cape businesswoman Nokwanda Patocka.

Nqayi, 47, a former bakery driver, who was convicted of the murder on Tuesday by judge Tembekile Malusi, was further sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, to run concurrently.

Nokwanda was last seen being driven away in her car by Nqayi, in Ginsberg, after two minors and a neighbour saw him assaulting her in her Ginsberg home in October last year before dragging her to her car.

Malusi described the murder of the businesswoman as heinous and callous.

The judge said a striking feature was how the injuries were concentrated on her head, face and neck, adding that they indicated the aim of inflicting pain.

“The victim in this murder must not just be another number in statistics of women killed,” Malusi said.

He said the closure the family needed was “cruelly denied” as Nqayi did not say why he had killed Nokwanda.

“He callously maintained his innocence in the face of overwhelming evidence.”

He said imposing the minimum sentence of life was “appropriate”.

The family and their supporters welcomed the sentence and shouted “bye” as Nqayi made his way out of the court.

Mary-ann France, one of Patocka’s sisters, thanked their supporters.
