The country has been buzzing for the past few days, people have been expecting the president to have one of his famous national addresses also known as the Family meeting to change lockdown levels. There have been many speculations. On what the president is likely to do and people are thinking that you going to move to level five of the lockdown but sources have revealed the truth.

It has been reported that after the country had had its meeting between the president of South Africa and the National Coronavirus command Council they have decided to keep the country under level one of the lockdown. This is very surprising for the country because they had thought that the harder and stricter lockdown was on the books.

It is said that the president will choose to ramp up vaccinations instead of moving the country to the higher level of the lockdown. It is not known how he will actually do this ramping of vaccination but it is said it’s the only thing that will change. This is very literal even after many people had thought they will lose their freedoms tonight when the president finally has his address.

It is quite obvious now that the country needs to try and make sure that they reduce the number of infections without being forced to. Now we’re wondering how the president’s going to make sure we vaccinate. They have also been called stew been understated people from certain places and it seems like it could work anyway. If the president however it chooses to ban unvaccinated people tonight it might cause more troubles than anything.

Ever since the announcement of the new Covid-19 variant, the masses have been more concerned about stricter lockdown regulations rather than being vaccinated or practicing health protocols to avoid being diagnosed with the virus.

While people are looking forward to the Christmas holidays, Health Minister Joe Phaahla hinted that interprovincial travel could be banned. More so, the B4SA organization requested that the government only allows vaccinated people more freedom.

Anti-vaxxers have made it clear that they have no intention to get the jab, citing that the new Covid-19 cases and Omicron, the new variant, are only coming to light because the elections are over and the government no longer needs votes.

Yesterday, President Cyril Ramaphosa met with the National Coronavirus Command Council for the development of Omicron and the fourth wave. According to several sources, the country will remain on lockdown level one, but the government will be urging the masses to get vaccinated to help the country reach herd immunity.

Should the number of new Covid-19 cases continue to increase, it has been reported that the government will have no choice but to make vaccination mandatory.

Furthermore, the public will be encouraged to continue practicing health protocols like sanitizing, wearing masks, and social distancing.

While remaining on level 1 has been welcomed by the public, some people are calling for the country to be removed permanently from lockdown. They say that international travelers or rather tourists are free to do what they like when visiting the country, but South Africans face a jail sentence should they not adhere to health protocols.

The dire shortage of law enforcement officers will make it difficult for the country and its citizens to be placed on hard lockdown because whenever there is a shortage of food, people will defy lockdown regulations. Many people are already breaking curfew hours and defying lockdown regulations like wearing masks in public. One would swear that this country is no longer on lockdown.

If full lockdown is achieved, more people will die of hunger than covid-19. As soon as lockdown is lifted, cases of covid-19 will soar. Nonetheless, if we remain on level 1, we will need controlled social distancing with particular attention to vulnerable groups like the sick and elderly.

Kaizer Chiefs Move to Second Position in the PSL Log Table

Kaizer Chiefs has secured the second position in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) log table following a victory against their Soweto rivals Swallows FC on Sunday afternoon.
Amakhosi headed to the game aiming nothing less than three points to make up for the poor performance they displayed against Amazulu on Wednesday.

The game started slowly as the Chiefs wanted to build from the back in windy weather at Dobsonville Stadium.

In the first half, the wind was in favor of the Chiefs but the club could not take advantage of that immediately as they started the game slowly.

Instead, the Swallows showed signs of danger despite playing against the wind.

As the first half progressed Chiefs started to show a sense of urgency as they realized that the time is going against them and the club started to look for an opener.

Two minutes before halftime in the 43 minutes, Amakhosi found an opener through Keagan Dolly after he was set by Khama Billiat and put the visitors in the driving seat.

Three minutes later in the 45+1 minutes, Billiat found his own goal and doubled the lead of Amakhosi assisted by Ramahlwe Mphahlele.

The game entered the halftime with Chiefs leading by two goals.

In the 53 minutes, Billiat completed his brace after he was set by Bernard Parker and extended the lead of Amakhosi to 3-0.

Ten minutes later in the 63 minute Swallows pulled one back through Lebohang Mokoena after he caught Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi off guard.

Swallows failed to score more goals and the game ended as 3-1 in favor of the Chiefs.

Amakhosi are now in the second position above Stellenbosch FC who dropped points this afternoon following a 1-0 defeat by Royal AM.

Chiefs have collected a total of 22 points in 13 games played so far this season.

The club is only eight points behind the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Following this afternoon’s defeat Swallows dropped to the rock bottom of the log table below Marumo Gallants.

Tsonga Poetry Masingita Shibambu wins her first-ever SATMA award: congrats

Masingita Shibambu a second-year student at the University of Limpopo made her first appearance on the screens when she first ushered President Cyril Ramaphosa with a powerful poem when Ramaphosa was about to deliver the state of the nation address, her poem shook the whole of South Africa.

Masingita who’s 20 years of age was born around Limpopo province from the village called Matiyani which is situated near Punda Maria, she was chosen as an Imbongi or praise poet during Sona and she delivered her poetry in Tsonga and officially welcome the president of the Republic Ramaphosa into parliament.

She was praised by many political parties for a heartwarming welcome and her confidence given her age, and they praised her for Rocking traditional attire Xibelani cloth.

Masingita Shibambu is well known as Ntombhi ya Mutsonga, she shared her excitement about winning the SATMA award as the best poet.

Masingita says she couldn’t believe it and what really stood up for her was the first appearance in parliament.

Shibambu shared her gratitude towards the Limpopo legislature office for affording her an opportunity to go shine during Sona in parliament.

Masingita says she can’t really believe it even now that the rural girl made it and did so well during her first appearance.

Shibambu says she was only used to sharing her poem back in church and community halls where they used to host poem sessions and competitions.

Shibambu started their poetry journey in 2014 and she believed in her dreams and never looked down upon herself until she managed to host a poem competition and that’s where the Provincial Legislature office contacted her and alerted her that she was indeed nominated.

Masingita says she never knew that the videos and clips she shared on social media had so much impact in people’s lives, ” I received so much love from different tribes and gained more followers as they wanted to see my work.

Masingita Shibambu says all credit goes to Benny Mayengani who shared her work and videos to thousands of people who are following him on social media and that’s where I started to get more exposure on social media platforms.

Durban businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Good Shepherd College of Religion for her good deeds and commitment to uplifting her community. As usual, she went to social media to post her new title and of course show off what she was wearing. The machine is well known for its expensive taste and for the liking of finer things in life. Mamkhize only wears designer clothes of international brands, you name it, she has it so it was not surprising for many to see the shoes she and her sister were wearing for the ceremony.

The shoes that are most recognizable by their red bottom, are Christian Louboutin heels and cost thousands of rands. The machine is not one ashamed of spending her money and showing it off. In South Africa, the one thing that’s always preached is that education is the only key to success. Even though this only makes reference to gaining education to have a better life for yourself and your family, people, however, don’t only get an education to achieve this goal as some pursue higher education even after reaching success. Some people just do it as getting a degree is something that they most probably want to achieve.

Well, this seems to have been the case for KZN multi-millionaire and businesswoman, Shawn Mkhize who’s also known as Mam’Mkhize. Not long ago, Shawn posted pictures and her sister and herself wearing graduation gowns at a graduation ceremony. The two were apparently graduating as qualified doctors as Shawn mentioned in her post that, she and her sister are now doctors.

Not it’s not certain which institutions the both of them graduated from and even if they gained the qualification through studying for it or it’s an honourary qualification, but the two of them definitely graduated today. As you can see in the picture above, they were both wearing red gowns which are worn by those who graduated with a doctorate degree. This is the highest form of qualification as in order to be called a doctor without actually studying to be a medical doctor, then you have to do a Ph.D. or doctorate degree. But since Shawn Mkhize seems like a smart woman, it would not be a surprise if she actually studied to get that degree. However, it might have not been easy to get that degree especially because she’s a busy woman who has a lot of stuff happening in her life.
