Former inmate Morwesi Theledi who spent 6 years in jail opens up on her life & new role on Muvhango

Former inmate Morwesi Theledi used her six years in jail to make positive life choices.

After serving six years in prison for fraud, the new addition to SABC2 soapie Muvhango, Morwesi Theledi, says being locked up was a blessing in disguise.

At just 25, Theledi was a well-established supervisor at a bank in Southgate Mall, driving her own car and living away from home. However, her life took a turn when she found herself lured into a bank scamming syndicate that would see her spend the next six years of her life in jail serving a decade-long sentence.

“My 10-year sentence was a blessing in disguise to me. When I get asked about the positive side of the prison, I lighten up because in prison you are locked up for 17 hours. You use that time for introspection. I used that time to empower myself and took up programs to positively transform my life to become the woman I am today. I even have titles now; I am a businesswoman and an actress on Muvhango,” Theledi said.

After graduating with a journalism qualification from Damelin College, she landed a job as a bank teller in 2003. She worked her way up the ranks and became a supervisor within five years. With her management post came perks such as a good income and access to the bank’s wealthiest accounts.

At the time, the mother of one developed a relationship with one of her clients, who often bought her gifts, made regular deposits into her accounts, and gave her tips amounting to R6 000 in clothing vouchers.

“I was approached by some client. I didn’t know that they were a syndicate. In the banking industry, you create relationships with customers because you don’t want your customers to branch out and bank with other banks. You trust your customers and don’t think that they will turn on you the next day and start making requests. Even if a customer leaves you a tip, you never think that it will be used against you the next day,” she said.

It was in 2008 when Theledi’s client made a request for her to deposit R2.7 million from an account belonging to a blue-chip company into a private one.

In a state of panic, she tried to freeze the account by transferring R27 million instead. The bank’s forensics were alerted and she was arrested and kept at Mondeor Police Station.

The young mother said she had been threatened and told that her four-year-old son would be harmed if she told the police about the syndicate.

“They threatened me. Lives were at stake and I chose to lie.”

While awaiting trial, Theledi found out that she was pregnant with her second child and chose to stay with her newborn in prison until he was two years old. During this time, she planned her life after prison.

“What I loved about prison was that it gave me an opportunity to bond with my child. I also had a plan that, should it happen that I was found guilty, I’d do things that would make me come out better. The first thing I did was to enroll with Unisa. At the same time, I enrolled for a business management course with the University of Johannesburg and I graduated in prison.”

The young mother was depressed during the first few months of her incarceration. After seeing a psychologist, she decided to take an active stand and became the face of education and faith-based organization called Pillar to Post.

“As the face of the prison with Pillar to Post, schoolkids would enter the prison and we would give them a tour and tell them my story on how I landed in prison and warn them about the dangers of prison,” she recalled.

At the same time, she tapped into her acting talent by writing a play that, through an initiative set up by the department of sports, arts, and culture, was featured at the National Arts Festival in Makhanda in 2016. The play won her the best actress award. She was released from prison in the same year and has been rebuilding her life ever since.

Life out of prison is proving to be kind to Theledi, who is also the founder and chief executive of Ugqozi Solutions, which helps banks and companies handle matters of fraud.

She is also a motivational speaker and believes that her new role on TV will help inspire young women with the possibility of second chances.

Muvhango gave me a second chance. We struggle as ex-offenders to get a job. We get judged. I used to apply for jobs and I was told that they like me, but I have a criminal record. It used to depress me until I decided to just stop. I am thankful to everyone who welcomed me at Muvhango with so much warmth

Theledi’s character, Mantwa, a kidnapper and cousin of James Motsamai (played by Dingaan Mokebe KaKhumalo), made her first appearance on Tuesday to millions of SABC viewers, an opportunity she says would never have happened if she had not gone to prison.

Musa Mseleku’s son Mpumelelo 20 already a polygamist

Musa Mseleku’s son Mpumelelo 20 already a polygamist

Reality TV star Musa Mseleku’s son, Mpumelelo has proven that the apple does not fall far from the tree.

Mpumelelo however revealed he wants to have multiple wives.

At the mere age of 20, he has a baby mama and a girlfriend. This was revealed by Mpumelelo in the last episode of Uthando Nesthembu.

When approached about this, he said: “I’m not cheating but I am following in my father’s footsteps. My relationship with them is built on trust and transparency. There’s no secret about it. The baby mama lives in Cape Town and my other girlfriend lives in Durban.”

He said both girlfriends know each other.

“Unfortunately I can’t reveal their names but I’ve been dating them since 2019 and I introduced them to each other. There’s no fight between the two of them because I was honest with them from the beginning.

“I made them understand the bigger picture. I have good intentions for them but I need to be financially stable before I do the right thing,” said Mpumelelo.

He said his goal is to have “as many wives as possible so they can bear children. For now I can’t say how many wives I need but it’s definitely going to be a polygamous marriage”.

“I don’t want my family to perish merely because I failed to make kids. As a man it is my duty to ensure that the Mseleku clan does not perish,” Mpumelelo said.

“Currently there are three young men in our family, including myself. My father wants more than 50 grandchildren. This goal is impossible unless I take more than one wife,” he said.

He is currently playing for the Moroka Swallows under-23 team.

“I just moved from KZN to Joburg for my football career. I’m also a DJ and I am passionate about both careers. Once I’m settled, I want to go back to school and pursue a career in logistics,” he said.

It ended in tears for Gomora’s Zodwa (Sana Mchunu) Boyfriend fumes

THE much-anticipated wedding on Gomora between Zodwa and Bongani has been canceled.

This after Zodwa dumped her fiance and went back to her ex-boyfriend Don – the father of her kids.

The last few weeks have seen the intriguing love triangle playing out, with things not being easy for Zodwa (played by Sana Mchunu). She was torn between two men – Bongani (Thulani Mtsweni) and Don (Israel Matseke Zulu).

In the episode aired on Tuesday, 9 November, Bongani made it clear that he was tired of being strung along by Zodwa. He then forced her to choose. Unfortunately for him, she chose Don.

“My body loves you. I want to be with you, but I can’t control my feelings. They love Don,” Zodwa told Bongani.

They took turns wishing her bad luck for playing with Bongani’s heart.

“I wish for Don to hurt Zodwa till she drinks again,” wrote Thandile Ngcoyi.

Kagiso Mtsenga said: “Zodwa is going to regret this. She really played with Bongani’s heart. She can’t even see the kind of person Don is. Yoh, abacaxi!”

Then Nolali said: “Not Zodwa choosing Don over Bongani and saying: ‘I want to be with you, but my feelings love Don’. Wee! I can’t wait for Don to hurt her again.”

Ever since Zodwa got engaged to Bongani, Don has made it his mission to separate them. He went as far as planning theft and robberies, all in an effort to make Bongani look like a loser.

Tensions rise as MaCele tells Musa to marry his side chick within 6 months

Tensions rise as MaCele tells Musa to marry his side chick within 6 months

Tensions are running high in the Mseleku household, particularly after the last episode of uThando Nes’thembu, where Musa Mseleku revealed he has a new woman in his life.

Musa disclosed to his first wife MaCele that he has a new girlfriend and he’s looking to make her his fifth wife.

Daily Sun spoke to MaCele and she said she had given Musa an ultimatum: he needs to marry this girlfriend within six months. Miele says if he doesn’t do so, then he will “never” marry her or anyone else.

Miele is confident that Musa would not introduce the new girlfriend to her if he wasn’t sure that she had the potential to be wife number five.

Musa previously said the new woman’s name is Thobile Khumalo and this didn’t sit well with Miele. She told the Daily Sun that it felt wrong that the woman has the same surname as MaKhumalo – one of the other wives. She commented that he should have chosen a woman with another surname and Musa’s decision felt like a “stab in the back” towards Khumalo.

Khumalo has been open about her fertility struggles and for viewers, Musa seems to have lost patience and has become more insensitive on the matter.

Musa is on a mission to have more children and grow his family. However, the current wives are not on board with his plans.

Khumalo told the publication in September that she was unaware that Musa had found someone new.

It was teased on uThando Nes’thembu that the new woman may be a relative of MaKhumalo and viewers said it was unconscionable if this was the case.

Mzansi: Idols judge Unathi Nkayi bags new gig after being fired twice

Mzansi: Idols judge Unathi Nkayi bags new gig after being fired twice

Amid the controversy surrounding her departure from Kaya FM, singer and Idols judge Unathi Nkayi is set to be the host of season two of The Festive Get Together in The Life Artois on Mzansi Magic.

Nkayi returns for the second season, following a drama-filled week in which she made headlines for being fired from Kaya FM after what was reported as being a verbal altercation between her and fellow host Sizwe Dhlomo.

The first episode of the new season will air on December 1 at 9.30 pm.

As well timed as this announcement has been for Nkayi, many are wondering whether radio will be on the cards for her moving forward, and how she views the seemingly candid commentary of the issue provided rather openly by Dhlomo. This, on top of a scathing initial statement from Kaya FM that painted her in an unflattering light.

Questions on these topics remain unanswered despite our attempts for comment.

The producers of The Festive Get Together in The Life Artois appear to be safeguarding their product and were wary of any line of questioning to do with Nkayi’s Kaya FM dismissal.

On Tuesday we reported that she had also pulled out of hosting the upcoming 2021 GQ Man of the Year Awards ceremony, taking place on November 27 at the Four Seasons Hotel, due to unforeseeable circumstances.

GQ maintains that it will revisit working with Nkayi again in the future and as yet has not selected a replacement. It has also distanced itself from any notions that this decision was linked to her abrupt departure from the radio station.

She took to Twitter to share how she always travels prepared and never sleeps in any hotel room before praying over it.

“I do this thing where I pray over every hotel room I sleep in. I just feel like so many spirits pass through doing different things in hotel rooms and I always want to wash the room with the Holy Spirit and the blood of Jesus … I can be weird like that but it’s so comforting.”

Some of her followers affirmed her ‘thing’, sharing that there are a lot of satanic things happening in hotel rooms and this was needed for protection. They too do similar things, and it goes beyond just a hotel room.

“It’s not weird it should be done every new space you occupy. Bad spirits are everywhere. By inviting Jesus Christ in the space it’s guaranteed that it will flee.”

A new twist to Senzo Meyiwa murder case as robbery is ruled out, More trouble for Kelly Khumalo

A new twist to Senzo Meyiwa murder case as robbery is ruled out, More trouble for Kelly Khumalo

The killing of former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates captain Senzo Meyiwa was a contract hit and not a robbery went wrong.

This is according to an affidavit by Colonel Bongani Gininda who is leading the investigation into Meyiwa’s death.

According to the investigator, the murder was an assassination. Fisokuhle Ntuli, the hitman implicated in the murder, along with the four others he was accused of, was hired to kill the footballer.

“Investigations, which resulted in evidence under oath, indicated that the victim was assassinated as a contractual assassination or hit rather than a robbery or robbery gone wrong,” reads part of the affidavit.

It still remains unclear who hired the hitman and his crew to kill Meyiwa. Senzo was killed on 26 October 2014, in the house of his then-girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo.

The colonel continued to note that Ntuli, the main suspect, had confessed to the murder on two separate occasions in 2020, both times under the watch and guidance of his legal representatives.

“On the 19th of June 2020, this suspect confessed to a commissioned officer, and on the 24th of June 2020, he confessed to a magistrate at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court in the presence of his counsel.”

One of Ntuli’s co-accused, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, was implicated in the murder through eye witness testimonies that placed him at the crime scene on the day it happened. The outfits described by witnesses matched those he was wearing in pictures found on his phone from that day.

So far, none of the accused has requested bail, which according to investigating officers, is a good sign that signals their guilt.

According to the police, they are confident that they have an airtight case, and that the new evidence that has come to light will enable them to finally put the case to rest.

The country has been calling for the case to be expedited for a while now. The goalkeeper’s family is experiencing a lot of heartaches, considering how long the saga has been dragged out.

Kelly Khumalo, whom the player was dating at the time of his death, recently also came out to speak on the loss she experienced. In addition to losing her best friend and the father of her daughter, she was the target of so much hate from people she never imagined would turn against her.

According to the singer, her name was dragged through the mud by people who thought she had something to do with the murder, and she couldn’t believe how malicious the reports were. For sure, South Africans have never let her forget the incident, and she is constantly being asked online to say what exactly she knows about the case.

Pics Qwabe Twins BEFORE and AFTER Getting Money And Fame- This is A Real Transformation

Pics Qwabe Twins BEFORE and AFTER Getting Money And Fame- This is A Real Transformation

They say money is the beginning of all evil things, but the transformation it gives a person is undeniable. If you look at pictures of many celebrities or rich people before they became rich, you can attest to me that, indeed, no one is ugly. You just need some touch-ups and financial support. Although a person doesn’t have a really nice look, having money makes them appear to be nice because of what they wear and their possessions. Those who have been following and reading my articles can relate because a few weeks ago I posted a photo thread of celebrities before and after their rise to prominence. In today’s article, we are looking at photos of the Qwabe twins before and after they rose to prominence and became rich. Read more.

As a result of their outstanding performance in Season 15 of Idols South Africa, the Qwabe twins have gained not only local but international recognition. For more than two decades since their appearance on the reality show dubbed “Q Twin” made them overnight stars, Virginia and Viggy Qwabe haven’t let up in their quest for success.

While the sisters are uncannily alike, they also have a unique personality that has earned them a large social media reputation. They were born and raised in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where they developed a lifelong passion for music as children. When it comes to the sisters’ relatives, it’s not clear if they have siblings. See their photos before becoming rich. And now for the famous:

During the 15th season of Idols SA, the Qwabe twins wowed the audience as individual candidates. In addition to being their first performance outside of KwaZulu-Natal, it was also their biggest to date. Initially, the sisters were part of a choir, but they soon found themselves performing at local gatherings. They also used to write their own music and perform it with their buddies.

It wasn’t long until the sisters seized the opportunity to show off their God-given talents on a larger stage. Indeed, their performance on the broadcast was awe-inspiring. At one point, the audience and judges were so enamored with them that they essentially hijacked the event.

In the wake of that, the Qwabe twins have had an incredible journey thus far. After they were on Idols SA, DJ Tira signed the duo. They went with Tira instead of Zahara, the singer who had publicly begged to be their mentor. Following the release of a few musical compositions, the twins are currently working on some undertakings. Hamba is the name of their debut song, and it’s been a great hit. They included DJ Tira in the song, which has now become popular on a variety of social media sites. Through all those achievements, they are now one of the top artists in Mzanzi. And they are making a passive income. See their current photos below.

Indeed, money and fame have transformed the twins. Even on social media, many people have made examples of themselves that life can turn around in the blink of an eye. To everyone out there, if you feel like you are ugly, just be patient with yourself until you get enough money and you’ll see the transformation.
