Did The President Just Lie To The Nation Tonight

Did The President Just Lie To The Nation Tonight

President Cyril Ramaphosa has a Twitter account, but it is not known whether he is the one who personally handles his account. The account is active and only focuses on ANC, and presidential stuff.

The account never responds to any of those who reply to the tweets. It is just used to pass the message that needs to be passed.

Tonight, the President’s account tweeted about a letter that he received from a 6th-grade learner. Most people didn’t believe that the letter was written by a 6th-grade learner. However, some kept saying there is no learner who is in that grade who would write like that about the ANC. They called the President a liar and didn’t believe what he had said. Do you believe that a grade 6 learner would write this well? If this learner is going to one of the best schools then she is able to write this well.

The actress- sangoma said she was called to be a spiritual mother and said spiritual healing is very important as it brings peace.

“Healing is a process, when you heal in spirit, you heal physically. Trust the process.”

“To be called to be a spiritual parent is a huge responsibility. Nampa abantwana be zithunywa engihamba Nazi.”

The actress has also been posting videos where she raises awareness about mental illness and previously confirmed that she is a sangoma who heals people.

Another actress we recently reported on who has embraced her calling is the former The Queen’s actress, Andrea Dondolo. She had recently graduated from her sangoma training and she posted images in her Instagram during her ceremony.

Former inmate Morwesi Theledi who spent 6 years in jail opens up on her life & new role on Muvhango

Former inmate Morwesi Theledi who spent 6 years in jail opens up on her life & new role on Muvhango

Former inmate Morwesi Theledi used her six years in jail to make positive life choices.

After serving six years in prison for fraud, the new addition to SABC2 soapie Muvhango, Morwesi Theledi, says being locked up was a blessing in disguise.

At just 25, Theledi was a well-established supervisor at a bank in Southgate Mall, driving her own car and living away from home. However, her life took a turn when she found herself lured into a bank scamming syndicate that would see her spend the next six years of her life in jail serving a decade-long sentence.

“My 10-year sentence was a blessing in disguise to me. When I get asked about the positive side of prison, I lighten up because in prison you are locked up for 17 hours. You use that time for introspection. I used that time to empower myself and took up programmes to positively transform my life to become the woman I am today. I even have titles now; I am a businesswoman and an actress on Muvhango,” Theledi said.

After graduating with a journalism qualification from Damelin College, she landed a job as a bank teller in 2003. She worked her way up the ranks and became a supervisor within five years. With her management post came perks such as a good income and access to the bank’s wealthiest accounts.

At the time, the mother of one developed a relationship with one of her clients, who often bought her gifts, made regular deposits into her accounts and gave her tips amounting to R6 000 in clothing vouchers.

“I was approached by some client. I didn’t know that they were a syndicate. In the banking industry, you create relationships with customers because you don’t want your customers to branch out and bank with other banks. You trust your customers and don’t think that they will turn on you the next day and start making requests. Even if a customer leaves you a tip, you never think that it will be used against you the next day,” she said.

It was in 2008 when Theledi’s client made a request for her to deposit R2.7 million from an account belonging to a blue chip company into a private one.

In a state of panic, she tried to freeze the account by transferring R27 million instead. The bank’s forensics were alerted and she was arrested and kept at Mondeor Police Station.

The young mother said she had been threatened and told that her four-year-old son would be harmed if she told the police about the syndicate.

“They threatened me. Lives were at stake and I chose to lie.”

While awaiting trial, Theledi found out that she was pregnant with her second child and chose to stay with her newborn in prison until he was two years old. During this time, she planned her life after prison.

“What I loved about prison was that it gave me an opportunity to bond with my child. I also had a plan that, should it happen that I was found guilty, I’d do things that would make me come out better. The first thing I did was to enrol with Unisa. At the same time, I enrolled for a business management course with the University of Johannesburg and I graduated in prison.”

The young mother was depressed during the first few months of her incarceration. After seeing a psychologist, she decided to take an active stand and became the face of an education and faith-based organisation called Pillar to Post.

“As the face of the prison with Pillar to Post, schoolkids would enter the prison and we would give them a tour and tell them my story on how I landed in prison and warn them about the dangers of prison,” she recalled.

At the same time, she tapped into her acting talent by writing a play that, through an initiative set up by the department of sports, arts and culture, was featured at the National Arts Festival in Makhanda in 2016. The play won her a best actress award. She was released from prison in the same year and has been rebuilding her life ever since.

Life out of prison is proving to be kind to Theledi, who is also the founder and chief executive of Ugqozi Solutions, which helps banks and companies handle matters of fraud.

She is also a motivational speaker and believes that her new role on TV will help inspire young women with the possibilities of second chances.

Muvhango gave me a second chance. We struggle as ex-offenders to get a job. We get judged. I used to apply for jobs and I was told that they like me, but I have a criminal record. It used to depress me until I decided to just stop. I am thankful to everyone who welcomed me at Muvhango with so much warmth

Theledi’s character, Mantwa, a kidnapper and cousin of James Motsamai (played by Dingaan Mokebe KaKhumalo), made her first appearance on Tuesday to millions of SABC viewers, an opportunity she says would never have happened if she had not gone to prison.

Ex-Bafana Bafana star shot in the stomach by wife

Ex-Bafana Bafana star shot in the stomach by wife

Former Bafana Bafana striker Mark Williams was allegedly shot in the stomach with a stun gun by his then-wife in one of their domestic violence bouts that were covered in a veil of secrecy.

The footballer’s wife also allegedly broke into his house after she had moved out following their separation and vandalized his belongings before pouring copious amounts of alcohol on his bedding.

The shocking incidents, which occurred around 2006, came to the fore last week after a fresh fight broke out between the two over a Bryanston property that she wanted to auction off to the highest bidder and leave the footie, and his new family, homeless.

Speaking to the publication on condition of anonymity, a close friend of Mark and his ex said the Supersport soccer commentator briefed his lawyers last week to obtain a court order to stop Branca from selling his posh pad.

The friend said Mark and his ex entered into a verbal settlement agreement on how they would divide their multimillion-rand estate after their acrimonious divorce in 2008.

According to the settlement agreement, said the friend, the two were to receive over R1.2-million each in cash from their joint account.

The former Kaizer Chiefs marksman was to keep the Bryanston house, which was then valued at about R3-million while she was to occupy their Merlose Arch home, which was also worth about R3-million.

The friend said she sold the Melrose property in 2009 and pocketed the proceeds of the sale.

“This because this was her property as agreed in the settlement, hence she did not share the proceeds with Mark and also because he did not ask for a cent from it,” said the friend.

Mark, said the friend, got the shock of his life on October 20 last year when he received a letter from the sheriff that his Bryanston home would be auctioned off to the highest bidder and that the two should share the profit generated from its sale.

The friend further said Mark was shocked that she would do this to him because he had not defaulted on the maintenance of their child.

“When he enquired why she was selling the property, he said she told him that the City of Joburg’s rates and tax account was in arrears that have a potential to negatively affect her credit record if they take legal action as the account was still in the names of both of them,” said the friend.

The pal said Williams admitted that the account was once over R300 000 in arrears but had since reduced it to just over R33 000 with the income he received as an analyst.

The friend added that the two drifted apart after she broke into Mark’s house on April 20 2006 and damaged a new plasma television set, a new computer, a fax machine, toaster and kettle, and poured wine all over his private belongings before tearing up his bedding.

He said on July 20 2006, she shot him with a stun gun in the stomach and then fired another shot at him, which missed and lodged itself into the hard plastic part of the door of his vehicle.

When contacted, Williams confirmed that his ex had applied for a court order to auction off his house.

“She is greedy man. We had a settlement agreement for her to keep the Melrose Arch house, but she sold it and now she wants to sell mine because suddenly she said she was not aware of the agreement.

“The property she sold was not the only one she kept, I had eight properties and she took 80% of those properties and I kept a few because I’m a good person. This woman abused me physically and financially. I’m going to fight her in court, she is not going to sell this one because I have a family to protect,” he said.

Williams also confirmed that she had shot him in the stomach and also vandalized his property. When contacted, she refused to comment.

She told him the Joburg rates and taxes account was in arrears.

Warning! If you’re a SASSA R350 grant beneficiary PLEASE READ THIS

SASSA has announced that beneficiaries of the R350 grant should make new applications because the national agency needs to make new verification updates on its system, the Chief Executive Officer Busisiwe Memela-Khambula said on Tuesday.

SASSA REQUESTS NEW R350 GRANT APPLICATIONS
While the public warmly welcomed the extension of the grant payments to continue until March 2022, many previous applicants are likely to feel disappointed by this request to make new applications.

Memela said the decision had to be taken because verification system changes have been made.

“The decision is based on lessons learned. There are things that did not work in the past that made the process frustrating for our people,” Memela-Khambula said.

“We introduced the new payment system but still needed to find ways to improve it to make it more effective.

“We want people to know that they can now issue their bank accounts upfront but people can still choose to continue getting paid through the Post Office.

The CEO added to say making new applications will help to make people understand why some applicants do not qualify for the R350 SASSA grants and what they need to do after.

Memela-Khambula said the government wants to make the process quicker and better than it had done before.

“People that are already in the system will make more updates that are key,” she added.

SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE WHO MAY STRUGGLE
Memela-Khambula said that Non-Government Organisation will be set out to go into rural areas to support people in accessing the R350 SASSA grants. There will also be a deployment of young social leaders to offer added assistance on the ground.

“It was said that our people were not going to understand the technology needed to apply but we received 10 million applications even though we were paying six million people.

“As much as people may not have data and the internet to make applications, I do not believe that people don’t know how to use technology. We paid six million people despite the challenges that were indicated upfront,” she concluded.
