The atmosphere leading to the eagerly-anticipated ANC’s 55th national elective is already looking volatile, with reports emerging from KwaZulu Natal indicating that another influencial local leader was shot dead the mafia style this morning.

According to The Witness, former Ward councillor in Ispingo and Amanzimtoti, Sunil Brijmohan died this morning in a suspected hit.

In a CCTV video circulating on Facebook, Brijmohan can be seen standing next to a construction site whereby two assailants walked toward his direction and shot him from close range.

It is understood Police have already dispatched personnel to hunt down the perpetrators.

The 46-year old served as a councillor for ward 90 Amanzimtoti during the previous administration, and was not retained after the 2021 local government elections.

Although the motive behind his assasination remains unknown at this point in time, assuming that it was a politically-motivated killing would not be a far-ferched possibility.

Ordinarily, when the ANC prepares for such a big event as a national elective conference, debates are undertaken at branch level to elect delegates, and that’s where squabbles begin, as leaders jostle for lucrative responsibility.

Brijmohan’s death is probably a third within the last 30 days, a branch chairperson was shot dead in eThekwini around the end of September, and the reasons for the killing can be presumed similar.

In general, violent crimes have increased significantly in recent months, and one has completely lost faith in the police’s ability to do their jobs properly to address this scourge.

The issue of politically motivated killings in KZN was the focus of a comprehensive commission of inquiry a couple of years ago, dubbed the Moerane commission.

It is still unclear if the government even cared to implement the Moerane commission’s recommendations to stop the spread of these murders.

Hopefully we would have learned who the perpetrators were in the not-to-distant future, along with the reason for their apparent assassination.

This man was confronted by a woman who lives nearby, who became enraged after seeing him and began yelling at him while recording him on film. This was a delivery truck that also cleans the dust bins that are located around town.

Residents of Ekhuruleni have been vocal about their dissatisfaction with the lack of garbage collection in their neighborhood, citing the fact that it has been several days since their trash cans were emptied. They had no idea that the person driving the pickup truck was busy stealing gasoline that was supposed to be working for them. People’s disappointment in their leaders was evident after this information was made public via social media. These were the very same folks who are charged with looking out for society’s best interests. They were the ones that made the situation worse. Even more people claimed that these activities had been going on for quite some time.

People claim that municipal truck drivers sell diesel to individual customers. Some people went so far as to argue that this is the reason why truck owners hire people from other countries: that local folks are always seeking for anything to make them feel good about themselves rather than about society. Almost every month innocent ladies are being murdered, and we’re living amongst animals it’s starting to feel like sending killers to jail is not enough.

The man who murdered Nomzamo Sibiya has a lot of blood on his hands, the problem we’re currently facing right now is we don’t know his identity which is going to be very difficult for police officers to trace him.

He’s a danger not only to our beautiful sister but as well as the community he’s currently residing in. One of the main reasons why people are seeking death sentences to be implemented in South Africa, we have criminals who tend to think they’re above the law.

Our prayers are with the loved ones of Nomzamo Sibiya, may her beautiful soul rest in peace. She didn’t deserve to die, our ladies are not safe at all. South Africa is a mess criminals are always trending for all the wrong reasons.

Another family is still left in shock as they come into terms with the painful death of their daughter. There is absolutely no one in life who can wish to lose their child. Parents have wishes of seeing their children growing up and being successful. It’s painful to see parents burying their children at a young age. Another young girl ended her life and sent a message to her family moments before she passed away. It is reported that the girl known Gomolemo Olifant poisoned herself but the reason for that has not yet been revealed.

Moments before she ended her life she sent an audio message to her auntie requesting her to be the MC at her funeral. On the audio she said that she could feel that her death is coming. She also requested her three friends to be at the family car when they go to lay her to rest. It’s sad that she ended her life so painfully and left her parents in pain. They were expecting a lot from her but she decided to end her life at such a young age.

This will not be easy for her parents and most importantly they will forever be reminded by her painful death. Her audio has left many people heartbroken and this is not something that will be easy for her parents. It will definitely take a long time for them to get to the idea of not seeing her or hearing her voice ever again. It is believed that she was depressed and decided to end her life.

Well it’s possible because so many young children are going through depression and never find the courage to speak out. Many young people have ended their lives because they were depressed. Let it be known that there is nothing wrong with speaking out but there is definitely something wrong with acting to be strong. We might not agree on this, but those who have been there before know that the pain of losing a wife hits deeper than the pain of losing a close family member. This man took it to social media to send a Rest In Peace message to his wife. After he posted this, many people were left in pain because, prior to that, they used to admire this couple. They used to post each other on social media and people would hyper their love and complement them.

This man didn’t specify what happened to his wife, he just posted that she passed away, leaving people heartbroken. What is even more surprising is that he posted her a few days ago and she looked so fine. It is true when they say you must appreciate today and do your best today because you never know what tomorrow may bring. We all wake up with hope and expectations to make it through the day, but unfortunately some don’t see the sun set. If you do, pray and thank God for such a blessing.

We are living in a world where death is like our shadow; it can visit you wherever you are at anytime. A message has been sent to the public to help locate the family of another woman who passed away. Dinah Makolo was staying in in Kekana village but she comes from Polokwane. Apparently she passed away at Jubelee hospital and left her two young children. She was currently working at Kekana village trying to put food on the table for her children. It’s sad that she passed away before she could witness her children’s success.

Losing a parent is something that cannot be wished to anyone, and all kids have wishes of growing up with their mother. One thing that is really important is mother’s love and it’s something that all children need. It’s sad seeing young children not experiencing theur mother’s love and depending on their close relatives. A message has been sent to the public to inform the family that she passed away and they should come to take her body to lay her to rest.

This will not be easy on her because all people can never be ready to say goodbye to their loved ones. Death is something that can never be wished to anyone and it always leave people depressed. The thought of not seeing them again or to hear their voices is really heartbreaking. There are no amount of words that can be sent to the family that is mourning that will make it feel better. It’s times like this where families get to be confused and not know what they can do.

People have sent messages of comfort during this heartbreaking moment and others offered to help with funeral arrangements.
