A lady took social media by storm after she posted how disappointed she was with Facebook home remedies that burnt her face. From the pictures that she attached to the post, she had read in a Facebook group that Handy Andy mixed with Spirits would help her get rid of blemishes and black spots on her face, and for her, this would help her have smooth skin just before the festive season and please her better half.

The results of her actions however have shown that it is not all remedies and advice that should be taken to heart from Facebook. As it stands, her face seems to be breaking, cracking, and reacting to the burning chemicals that she subjected herself to, in the name of looking relevant for the upcoming festive season.

The comments both on Facebook where the post was originally written, and Twitter where it was screengrabbed questioned her sanity because they are of the view that no one would ever think that Handy Andy and spirits would be good on a human face, considering that they have dangerous chemicals used to kill off bacteria, germs, and dirt. Because the lady was feeling insecure about her skin, she overlooked the possibility that the chemicals would affect her and took a leap of faith thinking that it would help her.

A few comments dismissed the authenticity of the post and assumed that it’s an egg mask.
