Sassa kept its promise R350 SRD money in

Sassa kept its promises of R350 SRD money. Amongst all groups of people who were waiting for their Special Unemployment Relief grant of R350, there was a group of people who were waiting for the South African Social Security Agency to respond to their reconsideration applications.

This was following the unfairly rejected made by the South African Social Security Agency on their applications. To some, SASSA said that they are working while they are not, some have alternative income while they don’t, registered with UIF while they didn’t, and other reasons.

 

What kinds of people have been waiting for more than 12 months without any response on that and some were losing hope that they will ever get that money.

Last week SASSA informed the public that all successful reconsiderations will start getting paid. Indeed, South African Social Security Agency had kept its promises, with many of those people receiving their money.

At least now SASSA is working hard to clear the backlog.
