Elections are over, now Covid-19 daily infection rate is rapidly increasing

Currently the Republic of South Africa it’s under covid-19 alert level one, which allows many activities to take place including gatherings.

This was made to also accommodate the Voting process from campaigning to the day of voting.

For some weeks now, South Africa has been keeping the covid-19 daily infection rate under control with only few people getting infected.

On Monday the 1st of November 2021 South Africa hosted local government elections and people were gathered in different voting stations casting their votes.

With that process done and dusted, now we are assessing the covid-19 family infection rate and all to find out that it is increasing which soon president of the Republic of South Africa Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa might be forced to make some changes on covid-19 alert levels.

It has been reported that A total of 33,526 tests were conducted in the last 24hrs, with 319 new cases, which represents a 1.0% positivity rate. A further 31 COVID19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 89,251 to date.
