After having to take a two-goal lead into half-time, the Chiefs came back into the second half hoping that they will continue where they left off and possibly find the third goal that would help them put the game to bed, but The Chilli Boys were not prepared to give up the fight as they believed that if Chiefs scored two in the first half, they could as well score two in the second half.

Chiefs broke through the middle on the 50th minute with beautiful inter-passes between Keagan Dolly and Phathutshedzo Ṅange who won the ball in the middle of the Park and fed the ball to Dolly who quickly returned it to Ṅange who took a shot but the keeper Watenga was well positioned to deny Chiefs the third goal.

After turning defense into attack, Chippa United broke through the right-hand side of their attack on the 55th minute and their attempt resulted in a corner kick which Chief’s defender pretty well and held on their lead.

Daniel Akpeyi was left exposed after Chippa managed to beat the Chiefs’ offside trap and Thokozani Sekotlong found himself one on one with the keeper who refused to be beaten and pushed it out for a corner which they defender very well on the 57th minute of the game.

The defensive-minded Stuart Baxter brought in a defensive midfielder Teddy Agay who replaced an attacking midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo in the 65th minute of the game.

Dolly and Billiat continued to combine pretty well and they once again dissected Chippa United as Dolly laid a beautiful pass for the Zimbabwean attacker Billiat who made no mistake and fired one past a helpless Watenga, he had to pick up the ball for the third time from his net as Chiefs found their third goal on the 69th minute.

Chiefs defense found themselves in sixes and sevens with a ball landing in their dangerous area right in front of Daniel Akpeyi, Njabulo Ngcobo had to put his body on the line and he was kicked on his thigh, but the ball was eventually cleared and Ngcobo was given medical attention.

Substitute Daniel Dickson tried to head the square ball in the 77th minute, but Akpeyi was not prepared to give his former side a goal, he refused to be beaten and comfortably made a save to denied Chippa United a goal to Reduced the deficit.

Dickson was not done as he was back after picking the ball up from his own half Kn the 80th minute and got a chance to shoot, but his deflected shot went over the bar for a corner with Akpeyi seeming to be beaten.

Amakhosi have gifted their chairman Kaizer Motaung a beautiful birthday Gift as he celebrated his 77th birthday, the team managed to find a convincing win, all thanks to the combination play between Billiat and Dolly who assisted each other and scored the goals themselves.

Lazarous Khambole sealed Amakhosi’s victory with his 90th-minute goal after coming on on the 85th minute, he managed to at least score a rare goal after some tricky moves by Dolly on the right-hand side.

Amakhosi managed to get a rare win that will help them regain their confidence going forward it will also take the pressure of their coach who was already under tremendous pressure with some fans already calling for his dismissal.
