Do You Know This Guy? He Just Got 100 Million In TikTok Retainers After Losing His Job Due To COVID

On the Chinese-owned video-sharing focused social networking service, TikToker, also known as Khabane Lame or khaby.lame, is the first person in Europe and the second person in the world to reach 100 million followers on the popular short-form videos application.

According to a TikTok statement, Khaby is a 21-year-old creator who was born in Senegal and moved to Chivasso, Italy with his family when he was a year old.

In November 2020, 16-year-old Charli D’Amelio became the first TikTok user to surpass the 100 million subscriber threshold, according to the new website BBC.com.

According to sources, Amelio, from Norwalk, Connecticut, reached the milestone after a year and a half on the application.

Although the young guy began his social media adventure during the Covid-19 epidemic, during a period when Italy was under lockdown, TikTok stated that he was one of the millions of individuals worldwide who had lost their employment as a result of the outbreak.

“His desire to make the most out of his situation and turn it into an opportunity to achieve his dream of making people laugh motivated him to start a TikTok account and share his first comedy videos,” says the application for short-form video.

On his TikTok profile, he states in his bio: ‘If you wanna laugh u r in the right place’.

As people search for a comedic getaway during these trying times, Lame’s work has racked up millions of views and counting, and in only 17 months, he has become one of the most popular and influential TikTok creators in the world.

His trademark facial expressions and use of sarcasm in his films are part of his talent for leveraging his unique inventiveness and sense of humor to convey joy to a worldwide population.

Lame stated in a TikTok Q&A that he got his inspiration for his material from Will Smith’s show “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” when he was a youngster.

‘I loved his comedy and I also loved all of his movies. So I decided to record some sketches on YouTube with a friend of mine and, even though there were very few views, I enjoyed making them,’ lame said.

Lame describes himself as a simple man who believes it is vital to stay grounded and loyal to his initial goal of producing films to have fun and make others laugh.
