Gugu Ncube Has Left Behind a 7-Month-Old Baby, and Many Are Saddened By Her Passing

Ashley Gugu Ncube, whose tragic death is currently trending online, recently traveled to Poland to spend time there before taking her own life.

As we speak, her child has lost her mother and will grow up without her. Her family lost her in a tragic accident overseas, and they can’t even afford to bring her body home. They want to provide their daughter a good home life, so they’re reaching out for aid.

There has been an outpouring of sympathy for Gugu Ncube, and many have offered words of condolence. However, some have also proposed creative solutions, such as the idea that, as Africans, we should make it the norm to cremate bodies when someone dies outside of the continent.

Social services in Poland are being urged to facilitate a reunion between the girl and her biological parents.

The circumstances surrounding the tragic loss of her life at the early age of 23 remain unclear at this time.

We really need to start embracing cremation as a solution to family members who pass outside of our borders. Whatever monies raised can then be used to look after the children of those departed.
