Driver stopped at BP on M1 from Soweto side earlier around 05h00, the suspect then proceeded to hold up the truck driver as well as his friends before stripping off the tires. Although they were captured on camera and then after the whole situation happened the truck driver dispatched the information, so that the suspects can be apprehended and other drivers can be careful of them.

He and others were forced to lie down as thieves stripped wheels before fleeing, the fact that these truck drivers cannot defend themselves is a serious problem many people wonder why more truck drivers are not armed.

It is dangerous on the road we know that this may make them targets for criminals, but they are already targets without really do anything so it doesn’t make sense.
