Refrain From Interfering, Russia Tells DIRCO South Africa

Early morning on Thursday morning, images surfaced all over social media that alleged Russia had invaded Ukraine and locals were in panic and seeking places of safety some even rushing to the underground subway.

Later on, a video was making the rounds of the Russian president who was warning that if any country or even countries dared to intervene, and in any way became a danger to the country and its citizens, that particular country would be ruled out as a thread and Russia would retaliate. He went on to say that a particular country would witness something it has never ever experienced before.

Although this message trended on social platforms, South Africa’s Department Of International Relations And Cooperation (DIRCO) would later at 5:08 pm post a tweet on its social media account (Twitter). “South African Government calls for a peaceful resolution of the escalating conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine”.

Just a little over 30min later, they received a reply from the Russian SA Embassy (RSAE) who kindly asked them to kindly refrain from intervening. That response by the (RSAE) has since left a handful of individuals shook, and utterly denying belonging to SA.

In 2020, the award-winning rapper opened up in his podcast show, Lab Live, about his battle with chronic depression after the death of his father. He said that he lost his father at a time when he needed him most and couldn’t get over his death. He also once tweeted that ” You need to be strong to be in this industry because you will experience so much pain. More pain that you came in with. This industry is going to amplify that pain”.

The signs were always there but unfortunately, his outcry was never heard or acknowledged and on 23 February 2022, Riky Rick took his own life.

Just recently this year, veteran actor, Patrick Shai took a video of himself insulting Cassper Nyovest, in the video, he challenged Cassper and used vulgar language that involved the rapper’s mom. And due to this, he received a lot of backlash from Cassper Nyovest and social media users. And then a few days before his passing, he publicly apologized to Cassper Nyovest and mentioned how he regretted his actions and will accept the consequences that come with them.

And little did we know how much this affected Patrick Shai, he clearly did not forgive himself and deeply regretted his actions which led to him taking his own life due to depression.

Nichume Siwundla (7 June 2019)

Local singer Nichume Siwundla was battling depression and officially lost that battle. She was going through big financial problems when she learned how dark the South African entertainment industry can get. Her record label allegedly cheated her of money, even though she was rising in fame, her wallet was not getting any bigger. The financial stress and pain officially got the better of Nichume and just days after her 27th birthday, she took her own life.

HHP (24 October 2018)

Motwako rapper, Jabulani Tsambo who is famously known as HHP battled depression for a long time in his life. Although he was always smiling, rapping about positivity and good feelings, he was battling depression on a daily basis. And the lowest point of his life was when his career went downhill, it became harder for him to deal with his negative emotions.

On the 24th of October 2018, HHP ended up taking his own life and officially lost his battle with depression.

Award-winning South African actress Shoki Mokgopa was very talented and had a huge potential to make it as an international superstar. However, Shoki was openly dealing with a long struggle with clinical depression and anxiety. And although she fought hard to stay sane, her condition got the best of her and she ended up taking her own life on 26 September 2018.

The whole of South Africa is still in shock over the news that their famous and favorite rapper took his own life on Wednesday the 23rd of February. There are many questions regarding why he did it and what exactly he was thinking. He, unfortunately, did not leave any note before he committed suicide but someone said he talked to him on the day before he took his own life.

A rapper by the name of J Molly posted on Twitter that Riky Rick called him the day before he took his own life. He explained how Riky just wanted to check on him. He says that he told Riky that he was stressed and Riky revealed to him that he also had the same feelings. Below is J Molly’s original tweet:

It’s quite evident that Riky did not plan on telling anyone what he was about to do and he didn’t quietly without causing any panic.

It is quite evident that no one could have saved Riky from killing himself as he had already decided. Even when he revealed that he has similar issues as play hunger hammer you did not offer him anytime to receive him from himself. It is sad to see that the rapper didn’t want to be stopped in any way from killing himself and it all shows now that we look at it.

I Suffered From Depression, I Didn’t Want People to Feel Sorry For Me- Ricky Said Before He Died

One day, death will not be proud anymore. South Africa awoke to bad news once more yesterday morning. Riky Rick Makhado, one of the most well-known artists in the world, has passed away. He committed suicide on Wednesday morning after writing on social media that he would return stronger because this world was his home. It took some time for some people to accept the fact that he had truly passed away. Many folks assumed it was merely a hoax on their part. After further investigation, it was discovered that Riky Rick had taken his own life. He committed suicide by hanging himself.

Many people have been asking what could have led to him ending his life, and many people believe that he had been depressed for a long time. After I did my investigations into his past videos, I found a video where he confessed that he had been going through depression, but he couldn’t open up to anyone because he didn’t want to be treated like a sensitive person whom people are always feeling sorry for and are scared to say sensitive things to him. In the second video, he went on to say he had always wished to die young, just like 2Pac. He said every time he laughed at his album, he’d tell himself that this is his album because he wanted to die, but surprisingly, he didn’t die at the age he wanted to die at. The whole situation of celebrities escaping depression through death is scaring fans, to a point where every post should have a meaning. So most fans are pleading with their celebrities that if needs be, they should see a therapist because their deaths are very sudden and scary.
