His beautiful family has also lost a loving father, husband, brother, cousin because of our biggest enemy Death. The most heartbreaking thing about death is the fact that it doesn’t inform you of its coming. It does not prepare the family how to live without their loved ones.

Jolie Matongo the newly appointed Johannesburg Mayor stumbled to death due to a fatal crash that took his life and also of the driver of another vehicle. He left behind his lovely wife whom he married 15 years ago and their union was blessed with six adorable children. Four girls and two boys.

Matongo joined Politics from the age of 13 and ever since then, he has never looked back. He served the City of Joburg with pride and Joy.

On Sunday the 19th of September, it was reported by City press that Sophie Ndaba’s son is being Sued by his stepfather Max Lichaba for what he wrote in the song. This was something that was unexpected at all since they were a big family once upon a time.

It is said that Max is stating that Lwandle damaged his name with the things he said in his song. In the song, he says that Max Lichaba is responsible for Sophie Ndaba’s depression and he used to beat her. He even reveals that he slept with her best friend which is assumed she was underaged. Being the businessman that he is, Such things could potentially ruin future revenue. He is suing Lwandle for a total of R500 000

We have seen this happen with Bonang Matheba before. The lawsuit is just to clear his name and make the investors know that he didn’t do all those things. It is never about the money. He knows very well that his stepson doesn’t have much money. Sophie Ndaba is caught between all this and it might cause a lot of stress she doesn’t want to deal with as she recently went back to her acting career, she has not said anything about the matter as of yet.

In less than a week another tragedy hits South African television in the form of Siyacela

Siyacela Dlamuka of Isencane engine on Moja love channel 157, got married to Thando whilst they were still 16 years old. He told viewers he was ready for marriage and wouldn’t leave Thando. They got married in the first season of their show in 2019.

In this second season, Siyacela has shown a rather disrespectful side to him. The young man has no respect for anybody not even himself that’s why he left school after all. He disrespects his father’s wives and brothers it was disturbing to watch when he showed no respect for his maternal grandmother.

In last night’s episode, Siyacela was out grooving and had left his wife at home for 8 days. He didn’t take her calls or even call her to tell her his whereabouts. The young husband said his new girlfriend gives him attention and respected him.

Siyacela would want more attention because he has nothing better to do with his time. He is unemployed and a school drops out in fact he is not even qualified to waste time.

Bab Dlamuka has made the name ” Sthuphethu” a household name on this show. However, who would have thought Siyacela fitted it perfectly. Each Saturday this young couple proves why they shouldn’t be married.

Before they got married Siyacela always spoke of “Night Service”, he made it clear that was the whole reason for him to get married. He has come to realize there’s more to marriage than “night service” and he can no longer deliver. Probably Thando will leave this marriage in due time because in all truth she deserves better.

People who were closer to the accident scenes are not convinced that the type of accident that occurred, had the magnitude to kill the Mayor of Johannesburg. Everything is a disaster and people are confused. Everything leads to suspected foul play, which saw Jolidee Matongo leaving this planet. There is already a video showing the collision that happened, and it is alleged that the BMW, which was carrying the Mayer suffered minor damages, which were not significant to cause fatalities. Confusion grows and people demand answers. The mayor could have been safe if the rules and laws of the roads were followed. Having proper roads and infrastructure, light and well-orchestrated pedestrians to allow people and cars to move freely. The incident occurred after Matongo and President Ramaphosa participated in the registration of local government voters in his hometown of Soweto. President Ramaphosa said: Given the vitality and enthusiasm that Mayor Matongo showed to me and the people of Soweto shortly before his death, it is difficult to understand this tragedy. “Given his untimely death and traumatic death, the time we spent together was priceless. May his soul rest in peace,” he said. Jolie Matongo (46) was appointed as the Mayor of Johannesburg on the 10th of August 2021.

It cannot yet be confirmed if the Mayor was occupying the front seat when the accident occurred. It can only be confirmed that he is dead, and the two guards who were on board only suffered injuries. It raises suspicions as to why only the Mayor succumbed, and the two guards survived. People suspect foul play, that the accident could have been well orchestrated. Matongo was not loved by everyone, since his Zimbabwean roots always caught up with him.

The faction within the ANC and the battle for power could have been an influence as well. South Africans are brainstorming and trying to make sense out of this situation.

There is a Nigerian proverb that says, ‘death strikes a man when his day is sweetest’, and Saturday couldn’t have been sweeter for the now deceased City of Johannesburg Mayor Jolidee Matongo when he had close interaction with President Cyril Ramaphosa for the better part of the day, but in the midst of that, no one, not even the President could have envisaged the tragedy that would happen before the sunset

Matongo sadly lost his life when a car he was traveling in was involved in an accident, although his two VIP protectors survived the crash, his own life could not be spared.

Although Ramaphosa has been losing close ANC allies in recent times, Matongo’s death most certainly affected him greatly, for the mere fact that he had been in close contact with him on the ANC’s campaign trail in Soweto.

The President took to Twitter to express his deepest feelings about Matongo’s death, stating that the unforeseeable tragedy is unfathomably incomprehensible.

“It is absolutely hard to comprehend this tragedy, given the vitality and passion with which Mayor Matongo interacted with me and residents of Soweto so shortly before his death,” Ramaphosa wrote on his official Twitter account late on Saturday.

Ramaphosa’s aide and head of digital and communications in the Presidency, Athi Geleba who was also with the two gentlemen, stated that Matongo’s last significant message for her was regarding the electricity issues affecting residents of Soweto.

She indicated that the newly-appointed Mayor requested that she takes footage of an area that needed urgent attention which Matongo intended to send through to Eskom for immediate action.

“My Chief of Staff. Such a shining star today. So bright in yellow. So present. So passionate. So engaged with solving people’s problems. – “Athi, send me all that footage, Eskom must see this for themselves,” Matongo said to her.

Regrettably, she indicated that she had wanted to tell him how “bright and beautiful the ANC colors looked on him”, but she did and will never have the opportunity to do so.

Jolie Matongo is a South African politician. He is the current mayor of Johannesburg and occupies the position since August 10, 2021. He was born in 1974 in Soweto, Gauteng Province.

He has been active in South African politics before he was elected to serve as Mayor. He was a member of the mayoral committee (MMC) for finance. Jolidee served under late Geoff Makhubo.

Jolie is a member of the ruling political party African National Congress and former Finance MMC in the city of Joburg. Matongo was married to his gorgeous wife for more than 15 years in 2020 the couple celebrated their q4th anniversary and their marriage was still going strong until he met his untimely death due to a car crash yesterday. It is believed that Matongo was from election campaigns where Ramaphosa was also addressing the people. He started his political career at the age of 13 and ever since then he has never looked back. He was always ready to serve the people.

The prominent leader was the son of Edward Matongo a Zimbabwean migrant who came to South Africa 50 years ago.

He holds a diploma and B tech in Public Management from the University of South and also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from Milpark Education.

He will be sorely missed by his great contributions in building the city of Joburg as he served under Geoff Makhubo before he was appointed as the Major.

Men need to be taught that they are not entitled to women. A woman can wake up and decide to leave them anytime they want, just like the way many men have done to lots of women. The irony is that when women do it they resort to violence and even killing them.

Also, men must never think that material things can keep a woman. Do things for your girlfriend or wife without the expectation of getting it back. Material things can never and will never buy love. So they need to understand that. Most men who end up killing their girlfriends are men who usually think that material things can buy the love of a woman. It is better you don’t do anything for her if you are expecting anything back.
