Will Namhla Mthwa get justice after the police did this?

Police have offered an R200,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction for the murder of OR Tambo municipal employee Namhla Mtwa, who was shot in her driveway in Mthatha.

On April 21, the 35-year-old was slain inside her car by an unnamed suspect as she drove to her house in Sidwadwa. She sadly died at the scene after suffering gunshot wounds to her upper body.

Brig Tembinkosi Kinana, a spokesman for the provincial police, said an “intense and sensitive investigation is underway to find, trace, and arrest the perpetrator.”

“As part of the ongoing investigation process, a cash reward is being given to anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest, successful prosecution, and subsequent conviction of the murder suspect.”

Anyone with information that could lead to the suspect’s positive identification and arrest is asked to contact Brig Venetia Masingi, the lead investigating officer, at 082 040 6751 or phone Crime Stoppers at 08600 10111. All information provided will be kept with the utmost secrecy.
