Heartbreaking: SA Woman in tears explains what evil neighbors did to her Cat

Heartbreaking: SA Woman in tears explains what evil neighbors did to her Cat

It’s easy to grow attached to your pets, after taking care of them for a while many people even look at them as their children. So it can be heartbreaking when they die, however it can even be more heartbreaking when you learn that they were brutally murdered. Here’s what a South African Woman recently says happened to her Cat.

Her story :

In a video posted to social media site TikTok, which you can watch by clicking on the link below, the Woman explains the events that lead to her learning that her pet had been brutally murdered.

While in tears she addressed Animal lovers and the SPCA, saying that her Cat had left home for a few days. Even though she thought it would return, it unfortunately never did. She later learnt from her son’s that allegedly neighbors three houses from them had stolen the Cat and killed it. However that was not the full story as her son’s were protecting her from the truth.

She eventually asked someone who witnessed the events take place and according to that person, the cat was first stolen and attacked. After which it was put into a box, petrol was poured onto it and it was set alight. Allegedly, during all of this the cat was meowing and trying to escape.

Her video of course got a lot of people replying and here’s what some of them had to say.

As we can see, this left a lot of people heartbroken and even prompted a response of the SPCA. If you want to watch the video click on the link below or keep reading for my opinion.

My Opinion :

Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who are capable of horrible things, so I urge people keep their pets in their own yard and not let them out unless accompanied. You may want to also keep your pet on a leash so that they are not stolen from your yard by anyone passing by.

If you witness anything like this or any cruelty to animals please report it to the authorities and the SPCA. As this is a crime and the offender can be harshly punished.

What do you think of these observations, tell me in the comments section and follow for more lifestyle news as it happens.

2 Shot Dead In Alex, Victim From KZN Killed While On School Holiday

2 Shot Dead In Alex, Victim From KZN Killed While On School Holiday

Two shot dead in Alex, the area is definitely a very serious incident and we have frankly seen many violent encounters and incidences coming from that area to such an extent where it becomes a serious problem, it is concerning to such an extent whereby the community members are very curious about this incident

Two people were shot and killed at 3rd Ruth in Alex around 8pm last night, there is no justification whatsoever for such incident and the members of the public are very serious about the incident are there tax on ordinary members of the public are completely unjustified.

Especially more so if they never chose who are involved are criminals, because it is definitely a serious problem with that many members of the public are coming across now the area has been labelled as very much and safe.

Unfortunately there’s nothing that a lot of people can do about it the only logical conclusion to deal with this incident, is to simply stay out of that area in order to ensure that if you do not come across such an incident

According to sources, the shooter had targeted another man when a young man was caught in the crossfire. The young man is said to have visited Alex for the school holidays from KZN, the police think that this individual moved from his hometown in order to come visit for a few days and he got married in a very horrible manner it is seriously concerning.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear, but they are assumptions that this could have been simply due to the fact that the individuals are getting robbed. Which is usually the case and the and the unfortunately were short maybe when I tried to fight back or something, which is unfortunate for many members of the public.

The young man was on his way to buy sly when he was mistakenly gunned down, according to sources.

Husband discovers that back room tenant is Wife’s lover

Husband discovers that back room tenant is Wife’s lover

A husband got the shock of his life after he discovered that the back room tenant at his house is actually his wife’s lover.

The matter came to light after Passive Mhara opposed Rumbidzai Munyanyi’s protection order application at the Harare Civil Court.

In fact, when the tenant came looking for a place to live, his wife was very vocal in persuading her husband to give him the room.

He did not suspect anything but it has now emerged that they were dating and his wife is the one who told the tenant bout the back room that was available to rent.

Passive stated that he had been fighting with his wife since 2007 because of her continued extra marital affairs.

But he never expected to one day stoop this low by bringing her boyfriend to come and live with them.

He told the courts that the main reason his wife wanted the protection order was to allow her boyfriend passage into his house.

“To make matters worse, I was told by my daughter that there is a man, who is staying at the house, who is claiming to be her father,” he said.

But he lost the case as the protection order was granted to his wife.

More than 70% of approved SRD grants disbursed by Sassa by end of June

More than 70% of approved SRD grants disbursed by Sassa by end of June

Cape Town – Latests figures from Sassa’s report on the R350 Social Relief of Distress grant applications indicate that by the end of June, just more than 70% of the grants had been disbursed.

The report also showed that less than 50% of the applications had been approved of to the total number of applications received. Just over 11.5 million applications were received and over 5.2 million had been approved.

Sassa’s report showed that of the total applications received by June 30, 57% were from females and 43% from males.

Sassa attributed the higher number of applications received by female applicants to a “known disparity” in employment between men and women in the labour market.

The highest number of applications were received from KwaZulu-Natal at more than 2.2 million, while applications from the Western Cape stood at just more than 740 000.

Civil society organisations takes government to court over SRD grant regulations
The applications were received after the Department of Social Development in April introduced the regulatory framework for the payment of the grant within the Social Assistance legislation and revised the income threshold for qualifying for the grant from R595 to R350.

The youth between the ages of 18 and 35 accounted for 60.6% of the total number of applications which, according to Sassa, similar to the previous iteration, remained the largest number of applicants, with the majority (40.6%) of applications from those with matric.

With Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu proposing an increase to the income threshold for qualifying for the grant, activists were hopeful that more applications would be approved.

Black Sash National Advocacy Manager Hoodah Abrahams-Fayker said the organisation was in the process of drafting a submission in response to Zulu’s proposal.

“Increasing the threshold will mean that it widens the net for more to be eligible for the grant like those who have an income below R624 would qualify rather than the current regulations where you have to earn below R350 to qualify,” she said.

After approaching the High Court in Pretoria to review and set aside four specific regulations last month, Abrahams-Fayker said Zulu had filed a notice to defend the matter but the other respondents, Minister of Finance Enoch Godongwana, Sassa and the Presidency had not responded.

The minister of social development has been listed as the first respondent followed by the finance minister, Sassa, and the president as the fourth respondent.

Sassa spokesperson Paseka Letsatsi said there was a possibility that Sassa may receive more applications.

Letsatsi said there were various reasons that an application may be declined, including when an applicant was UIF or NSFAS-registered, funds above means threshold (alternative income source), or existing Sassa grant beneficiary, excluding qualifying caregivers or when they were registered on the government payroll.

Letsatsi said rejected applicants could lodge an appeal for reconsideration within 90 days of the outcome.

This Is Another Tavern Incident That The Medingeng Community Woke Up To RIP

This Is Another Tavern Incident That The Medingeng Community Woke Up To RIP

The community of Medingeng was shocked when a woman who was reported missing was discovered dead at the Diwetsi Tavern, where she was last seen. This is definitely starting to look like a very suspicious thing that is happening around the country, we are starting to see a pattern of individuals or go to the league establishment and never make it back home and it is starting to be seriously worrying.

After a community-wide search, the dead body of the woman was discovered with a rope around her neck and a garbage bag covering her face. This is definitely something that should not be taken lightly and it shows the authorities that there is someone who was definitely responsible for the demise of this poor woman, there’s no way that she could have committed suicide because of the evidence does not point to that.

The authorities have initiated their investigations but there is no way that they could be able to tell who committed this horrible crime, more needs to be done in order to find the suspects who are responsible so that they can be brought to Justice this is definitely something unacceptable.

The authorities are encouraging the ordinary members of the public to provide information that could lead to the arrest of Suspects, who are involved in Criminal activities so that they can be brought to Justice this is definitely an unforgivable Crime that has been committed here.

It is believed that this woman suddenly went missing and turned up dead at the tavern, it is not even the first time we have seen a woman who has somehow turned up deceased out of nowhere. Surely there has to be more done in order to ensure that we do not have a repeat of such activities, and we have seen an increase of women turning up missing in the area that police have to tighten their shoestrings and be able to chase after the suspects.

Replacing Farieda is ‘nerve-racking but exciting’ – Kamogelo Molatlhoe on joining uBettina Wethu

Replacing Farieda is ‘nerve-racking but exciting’ – Kamogelo Molatlhoe on joining uBettina Wethu

She took over from Farieda Metsileng as Bettina on streaming network VIU comedy-drama uBettina Wethu (Our Betty), and she is doing an excellent job at keeping viewers entertained.

Former Rhythm City actress Kamogelo Molatlhoe (27) joined the local adaptation of Ugly Betty in season two. It is not often that a main character is changed and replaced but it seems viewers adapted easily to this transition.

“Taking over an already existing character was nerve-racking at first. The previous Bettina executed her really well, but I came in with a lot of confidence, willpower, and a teachable spirit. I came in with a lot of excitement,” Kamogelo tells Drum.

Before joining uBettina Wethu, she was sent a script and asked to submit an audition tape.

“They liked my tape and I came through for an audition, got a callback, and did the screen test.”

Kamogelo had watched the original Ugly Betty and adapted some of her mannerisms to her role.

“I watched the original Ugly Betty years ago, I knew the concept and what uBettina Wethu was trying to do. I adapted Betty’s comedic relief and how she is so ditsy and her ugly fashion sense.”

Prior to joining the show, she was on e-tv soapie Rhythm City for three years before it was discontinued.

“I left when the show came to an end,” she says.

Born and raised in Johannesburg, she grew up in Dobsonville, Soweto, and Gillview. Kamogelo is a Joburg girl who believes in working hard for her dreams.

When she was young, she was full of energy, and charismatic and dramatic arts came naturally.

“I was very loud, talkative, energetic, and very cute. When I got to my adolescent years, I started getting very moody and quiet at home. But I loved drama. At school, I was funny and humorous.”

She got into the arts at 10 years old when she took it as an extracurricular.

After high school, she went to university and graduated with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2017.

After getting her Honours, she was not sure what to expect from the “real world of acting”, but she knew she had to work her way to the top.

“I have been acting professionally for eight years. My first tv role was the character of Gugulethu on Bona Retsang. I was so nervous but very excited, it was the first time I saw myself on national television. My family, neighbours, and friends were excited, and it was the beginning of bigger things in my first years in university,” she says.

Being a professional actress comes with its challenges and Kamogelo learned this early in the game.

“I think my expectations were realistic. University taught me to be realistic especially because I worked and studied at the same time. So I got a taste of both worlds early.” She started out as a lighting and sound technician and moved to be a stage manager before landing roles as an actress.

“That taught me to really work my way to the top and that there’s no shame in starting from the bottom,” she adds.

“By the time I left school, I realised that networking was everything. I knew nothing would come easy and I had to work from the bottom up. Research is everything. Putting in the effort and being consistent is what I expected, and I knew that people weren’t going to be nice to me all the time.”

Kamogelo says she understands that not everyone is cheering for her, and she needs to put in work in order to see results.

“What I learned was not everyone is your friend. The same way I got in is not how everyone will get in. The sad part is that it’s a cold world, you are alone, and you need to take care of yourself. As much as you may have support, you are always alone, and you need to work hard.”
